Background Check with Fingerprinting

ATTENTION:  The UH Working With Minors on Campus background check and fingerprinting requirement is a separate process from the criminal background check (Certiphi Screening Inc.) that was completed by all accepted applicants at time of admission.  Students planning to start matriculation for the Fall 2024 semester must complete this additional background check.

Deadline to Complete Background Checks with Fingerprinting: Sunday, July 21, 2024

Phone: (808) 692-0920

JABSOM requires all incoming and enrolled students to undergo a criminal background check and fingerprinting per the University of Hawaii Working with Minors on Campus Policy.  No information obtained by JABSOM from a criminal background check will automatically disqualify a conditionally accepted applicant from obtaining full admission.  However, omission of required information or submitting false or misleading information by the applicant in the AMCAS and/or in any communication with JABSOM or the agencies conducting the criminal background check will result in rescission of conditional acceptance.

Campus Background Check and Fingerprinting process:

  • Submit Payment for Background Check & Fingerprinting:

    • Cost for the background check with fingerprinting is $22.20.  Submit payment through the EPAY STORE
    • Once payment has been made, allow for 5 business days to receive email instructions to your hawaii.edu address to move forward with the background check and fingerprinting process.
    • Deadline to complete background checks with fingerprinting July 21, 2024.  After this time, this payment option will be disabled and you will need to speak with Administration to complete these steps.
    • Please be sure you are on Oahu before making this payment as there are no refunds for missed or canceled appointments.
  • Schedule Appointment for Fingerprinting:

    • Fingerprinting will be done at a Fieldprint Services location on Oahu
    • Further instructions to complete the University of Hawaii Working with Minors on Campus background check and fingerprinting process will be provided to your hawaii.edu email once this payment has been received.
